How to Get Over Someone You See Everyday So you broke up. That stinks, but what is even worse, you still have to see your ex almost every day. There are ways that you can use to learn how to get over someone you see everyday. Some of these will be combined with typical breakup healing tips, but some will be completely different, as your situation is unique in that you see the ex daily. This presents issues that might not otherwise present themselves in an ordinary breakup. Read on to find out how to get your life back. 1. Forget the Good When it comes to how to get over someone you see everyday, then one of the best ways is to deal with the memories first. Most likely when you see your ex, you are prompted to remember the good memories. This keeps you tied up in the romance, or what was once the romance in the relationship. Remember the bad times in order to get over them. Even if you did not initiate the breakup, try to keep in mind the things that did lead to it. Your ex no longer wants to be with you, so why would you want to be with them? Think of all the work it would take to get over the bad things. 2. Maintain Politeness While you do not want to go out of your way to talk to your ex, there is still the fact that you see them everyday. This means that you will need to be polite; however, do not communicate excessively, and do not seek out interactions with them. Be polite, but maintain your distance. 3. Keep Your Routine, But Break it Up Keeping busy is not often easy after a breakup. Yet this is one of things that you will need to do to help you to get over them. Keep your routines, and make sure that you get plenty of sunshine and exercise. However, you will also want to switch things up every now and then to keep your mind off the ex. If you take walks, do not stop because of the breakup. Just change it up a bit; take a different route than you normally would. Listen to music, but find new songs that do not remind you of them. Make sure that you keep busy, but throw something different into the mix. 4. Forget the Myth of “The One” A common myth in the love world is that there is “The One” waiting out there for everyone. You will have multiple relationships in your life, some good, some bad. “The One” will manifest when you are ready. When learning how to get over someone you see everyday, it is crucial that you realize that they are not “The One”. There is no one person for everyone; there are thousands of possibilities out there. Also, do not convince yourself that your ex that you see everyday is the one just because you still see them. It is over, and you need to open up new paths in your life. When it comes to how to get over someone you see everyday, then the best things to do are to maintain routines while shaking things up a little. Be polite, but do not go out of your way to talk to them or spend time with them. Realize that there are more fish in the sea, and that there is someone out there who wants to be with you for you – you can be yourself!
