Top 6 Wedding Entertainment Ideas
If there’s a chunk of time between the wedding ceremony and reception, make sure to keep your guests entertained. No one likes to have sleepy and bored guests at their wedding! Here are fun ideas how:
1. Finger Food
Nothing is worse than people being so hungry that they get cranky and hit the bar too hard! To prevent this from happening, provide your guests with finger food or canapes if there is a long gap before they get to eat again. You can also prepare a sweet table, where guests can satisfy their sweet cravings. A cheese buffet also sounds like a good idea, especially with some nice wine.
 2. Photo Booths
Photo booths have become a popular option for wedding entertainment. No matter how many times we’ve seen it done, people just can’t have enough of it! Between the ceremony and the meal, ask your guests to post for a shot. For a more fun experience, make sure you have funny props at hand. If you don’t, then get creative!
 3. Magicians
To liven up the guests’ afternoon, have a magician at your party! Without needing to carry large equipment for their tricks, these entertainers create a sense of enchantment and can engage your guests. They can go from one table to another and mingle with the guests, both young and old. Magic is also a great talking point among guests.
 4. Games
If you’re holding a garden wedding, you can have an array of garden games to enjoy and get busy with. Popular outdoor games include croquet, corn hole, life-size checkers and giant jenga. On the other hand, if you want to stay indoors, there are a lot of table games to play. Not only will this entertain your guests, it will also give them the opportunity to start a conversation.
 5. Karaoke
Remember Cameron Diaz’s karaoke performance in My Best Friend’s Wedding? Singing karaoke is an oldie but a goodie! It’s sometimes surprising to see who can put on the best performance.
6. DJs
DJ’s is the last but not the least top 6 wedding entertainment ideas; Surely music is one of the best ways to make sure your guests are having fun. DJs are versatile and used to keeping large crowds awake and enthusiastic. A set of upbeat songs can make your wedding a celebration to remember.
Do you have other options to make your guests feel comfortable and at ease?

I vote for photo booths!
Good article- thanks Anthony
Your’re welcome Reflections
DJS are the my best. I have never thought of magicians though. I agree they can really entertain the crowd. Interesting post Anthony.
Elist thanks for dropping by.
A wedding is a great place to hire a magician, and I’m not saying that just because it’s the type of entertainment I provide at weddings. It’s because it’s true. The way that I perform helps to break the ice and encourages everyone to be involved in a fun, interesting and comedy packed way. It’s also something unique and different that you don’t see every day.
A buffet is another good idea, but sometimes I’ve seen people go over the top with the food, a meal at 5pm, and again at 9pm, plus a barbecue and a chocolate fountain and sweets, etc etc… There is only so much food you can handle.
Ed thank for another way of making wedding full of entertainment that will never bore the invited guest. I agree with what you just said here in your comment because I have once witnessed it and it was really entertaining and everyone was wow!
Great Wedding ideas
The Karaoke is all ways a winner with the reception
Maybe you can even set the mood with choice of music
Great post guys, I always say the more interactive the entertainment is the better. The sooner the ice the is broken the sooner everyone lets their hair down and has fun!

There is nothing better then playing a game during a wedding or a reception. Everyone could be together and enjoy as with the flow of the game. Good read. 🙂
