National youth Service Corp orientation exercise is schedule to start 6th November 2012 nationwide except in three states of Bayelsa, Borno, and Yobe. The postponement in Bayelsa State is as a result of flooding problem in the state and that of Borno State and Yobe State is as a result of insecurity in the two states. The NYSC 2012 Batch C orientation exercise in the three affected state have been reschedule to take place on November 28th, 2012. On NYSC website, Bayelsa state is not included as one of the state the orientation exercise are postponed but in their latest statement on Wednesday made by Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe the head of the press and public relations unit in the NYSC Directorate Headquarters, in Abuja. She included Bayelsa State, she cited the state as a result of the flooding problem in the state, and again the NYSC orientation camp is presently being used by the displaced people (people affected by Flood).
Thus the 2012 Batch C orientation exercise for the three States affected as stated above will have their orientation exercise take place in the following camp
For Yobe State:NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Magaji Dan Yamusa in Keffi of Nasarawa State
For Borno State:NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Wanune in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State;
For Bayelsa State:NYSC Camps at Kaiama Grammar School, Kolokoma-Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The three affected state orientation exercise will start on Wednesday, 28th November, 2012 to Wednesday, 19th December, 2012. This means prospective corp members posted to the three affected state will have to wait till the end of those that will start their orientation exercise on November 6th, 2012.
