A teenage girl of 17 years old slept for 64 day and diagnose with a disorder called “sleeping beauty disorder” Nicole Delien, a Pennsylvania resident, was diagnosed with “Sleeping Beauty Disorder” or Kleine-Levine, a condition that makes her fall asleep eighteen to nineteen hours in a day. She and her folks are currently promoting awareness about the disorder. The most recent one is that she woke up after sleeping for 64 days, from Thanksgiving into January, which made her miss Christmas.
At the campaign awareness, her mother said that she hoped to bring awareness of the syndrome to other families who may be struggling to find a diagnosis.
The parents of Nicole Delien even said that at some certain period she missed holidays and even her birthday, she just slept through it. In fact, they explain the time when the girl won tickets to see singer Katy Perry, but slept right through their meeting time.
“Affected individuals may go for a period of weeks, months or even years without experiencing any symptoms and then they reappear with little warning,” the syndrome’s website states.
When sufferers are awake, they may not be fully conscious or alert and have episodes of binge-eating or hyper-sexuality, medical journals report. There’s nothing to be done when one is fully asleep, except let the person sleep and make him/her eat from time to time.

And since March this year now, she has been symptoms free. The sleeping beauty disorder is just off and on, at a time it will appear and at some certain time it will disappear.
