MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week aims to be a premiere fashion event which will bring together media, industry, buyers and consumers to view the current collections of designers in the fashion capital of Lagos, Nigeria. MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week recognises fashion as one of the components of design. MTN LFDW would be a perfect opportunity for the entire design community to present their collections before a focused target audience – a vital tool for the creative development of the Nigerian design industry in enlightening the country as a whole about the significance of the design industry on the economy.

Lagos will play host to the fashion and design led event that will feature; runway shows featuring new season collections from the best talents in the fashion industry; design led exhibitions featuring fashion products and accessories, textiles, furniture design, photography, art installations and architecture; workshops that will facilitate knowledge transfer, information exchange and networking opportunities across board. Another attraction is Lagos itself; a metropolitan island that features an interesting mix of people, cultures and is fast becoming the melting pot for business in Africa.

Participants, designers and visitors alike can expect a diversified and interactive platform to maximise their exposure within and beyond their industry circle and open gateways for more business opportunities.

MTN LFDW is providing a commercial platform for the finest Nigerian designers in the following design sector: fashion, furniture, visual (photography, arts); to display their products to the local and ultimately, global markets.

The MTN LFDW Exhibition stands will be set up permanently throughout the entire 4 day period at our dedicated event venue, offering members of the public and press, unrestricted all day access to a variety of design all under one roof.Although, Application is closed today 15^th August, 2012 according to the information reaching us on their Facebook page, but the day of the event is going to be glamorous as so many designer have submitted their application.

Top 12 designers will be selected who will go on to the Workshops with British Council, and show their collection at the MTN Lagos Fashion & Design Week which holds from OCT 24 – 27, 2012!!
