Vlisco wants to empower women to unleash their potential and give them a chance to realize their dreams. Imaginative female creative fashion professionals (tailors, designers, stylists) can send in their business plan for the VLISCO FASHION DREAM FUND, and win the funding to realize it.
The winners will be selected by a Vlisco jury. Three winners throughout West and Central Africa will win respectively US$10,000, US$7,000 or US$5,000 to enable them to make their dreams come true.

Requirement for Participation in the Fashion Dream Fund
- To participate in the Vlisco Fashion Dream Fund Contest, you will need to meet the following criteria
- You have to be a woman – no age barrier
- You have to be Tailor/Seamstress, clothing designer or stylist
- You have to be in the beginning phase of your career and not internationally known yet
- You have to be from or live in the participating countries (Benin, Togo, Ghana, Nigeria, DRC, Niger, Ivory coast)
- You have to be present during the award night show in your country of residence.
- You have to be willing to give interviews (for Press and online) if you win any prize
- You should have a portfolio of designs to show and attach to your pitch when you apply
- Willing to work together with Vlisco
- Provision of correct and information; upload the required documents online
- You have to be independent
- You have to submit your fashion business plan before March 18, 2013
How To Pitch Your Business Plan
The first step in realizing your dream, is pitching your business plan online. You will need to fill in the fields below. You can save your plan before submitting it, but don’t forget you will need to send it before the 18th of March.
We recommend you double check your business plan before you submit it, since you can only enter once! Please do not forget to upload all required documents and who knows… your dream may soon come true!
