Does Love Really Hurt?
If you ask anybody this simple yet complicated question, what do you expect as an answer? Most definitely many believe that love really hurt. What about you? Do you believe that love really hurt? I believe your response will be based on your experience about love and probably on what you hear people say about love, if it hurt or not.
Well! Everyone believes love hurt including me but my inclusion was base on what I thought love was. I am no more sharing in that believe anymore, this is because, if truly love hurt, there will be no need falling in love over and over again even after a break up with same or different person.
The truth remain that, true love does not hurt no matter what. If you feel hurt for love, then it isn’t real love, it must be it absence. If you have a wrong foundation of love, you will feel hurt, disrespect and betray trust, it is also possible for you to lose your first love, since your understanding about it is on a shaking note.
I was in a group discussion with some ladies and I asked question to know what some of them think about love, if it hurt or not. One of the ladies that have a perfect understand of the question gave a wonderful answer about it and here is exactly what she said in quotes below.
[sws_blockquote_endquote align=”” cite=”” quotestyle=”style02″] Everyone says that loves hurts, but that’s not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Everyone confuse these things with love but reality, love is the only thing in this world that covers up all the pain and makes us feel wonderful again [/sws_blockquote_endquote] Wow! Wonderful and that shows she really know what love is, and she earned my respect.
So, real love do NOT hurt, real love is what makes all the bad crap in your life seem that much more bearable. Love is intoxicating, irrational, overwhelming, illogical… It sets your senses on fire and makes you do things you would’ve never done was it not for that other person. Love blinds you and makes you see the whole world in a new clear, beautiful way at the same time.
I will be ending this with Oprah Winfrey quote on love and hurtful.
It’s the absence of love that hurts; it’s the falling out of love or not having love or not having reciprocal love that hurts. Hopefully this isn’t for you, but I have to add this because some people might need to hear it over and over again: “I’ve said before, love doesn’t hurt, and if a man hits you once, he will hit you again.” ~ Oprah Winfrey.
