Why? Because once you start having sex, anything can happen, a lady can get pregnant and I will never advice anyone to abort the pregnancy.

Try to re-establish your friendship with her again, and arrange for how you both can meet and when that happen, discus issues on common ground before entering into the issue why she does not allow you finishing the talking on the phone.
…But ideally, such talk should NEVER BE SAID ON PHONE, you should have pleaded with her and arrange for your meeting, then you can have the talk and read her body language to really know how she feels. Anyone can hide behind phone and say lots of things that aren’t true.

In the first place, it is a foolish act to promise love through covenant.
Anything can happen to anybody and any fucking time.
In this generation, no one does that anymore.
